A new cycle of three workshops for members of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection Family Card, realized thanks to the support of Il Gufo, will start on April 17.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection presents a renewed calendar of activities for Family Card members, divided into three original and exciting remote and face-to-face events taking place, if possible, between April and June. The workshops aim at deepening and experimenting the relationships between opposite concepts, such as inside and outside, closed and open, interiority and exteriority, private and public. The goal is to investigate what is “inside and outside” of us on a physical, emotional, spatial, architectural and relational level. In&Out is made possible thanks to Il Gufo, a well-known Italian children’s clothing company, which for the fourth year is working alongside the museum to support the initiative.
The first appointment is set for Saturday, April 17 via Zoom with Input&Output, curated by Fablab Venice – digital fabrication & social innovation. The idea behind this first meeting stems from a question: can technology foster the development of creative intelligence? Starting from their own imagination, during the workshop children and parents will be able to experiment with digital modeling and the functioning of the 3D printer to create a real, physical object.

It continues on May 8 with Inside&Outside, on the island of Certosa, in Venice. This second event, curated by Isabella Moro, Danzaeducatore® and dancer, will be dedicated to the contact between child and parent to encourage the rediscovery of touch, an essential sense for the well-being of the individual and for self-awareness in relation to others.

Finally, on June 5th, the Indoor&Outdoor workshop, organized by the Educational area of La Biennale di Venezia, at the Giardini della Biennale, will lead the participants to creatively reconstruct the different ideas of interior and exterior, opening and closing, perimeters and boundaries, in the different spaces of the Giardini della Biennale, through the projects exhibited there and the exhibition spaces themselves.

The workshops are reserved for Family Card Members of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, for children from 6 to 10 years old and their parents. For information and reservations, starting on the Wednesday of the week preceding each appointment:; 041.2405429/412.

For in-person appointments, updates from the museum will follow taking into account the progress of the pandemic.
