From 12th October, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection presents a new programme of activities designed for Family Card holders, over the course of six dates until May 2020. Joy, fear, calmness, cheerfulness, anxiety and tension will be the key emotions of this exciting series of events for children and their parents. Fundamental to the development of the emotional maturity of children and the individual, emotions have always been a subject of special interest for artists who, with different methods, techniques and media, investigate and convey individual and collective feelings, sensations and upset. Emozion-Arti kicks off in the spaces of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, with the first event leading participants to experiment with meditation practices useful to stimulate their ability to concentrate through the analysis of works by Cy Twombly, Agnes Martin and Donald Judd. It then continues in different venues in the city of Venice. From the Gallerie dell’Accademia, where you can try to interpret the expressions of characters depicted in the works observed, to reveal their emotions, upset and feelings, you can move on to a “terrifying” visit to discover the secret rooms of the Palazzo Ducale. And again at the Teatrino Groggia, thanks to an extravagant duo of musicians, children will be transported to a rousing world full of cheer, while at the C.T.R. (Theatre Research Centre) on the island of Giudecca, acrobats and jugglers will take the lead in an extraordinary experience that will introduce the fabulous world of the circus. To bring the series to a close, a game of logic in the spaces of the Chiostro dei Santi.
